Mr. Kipp,

My name is Richard Borden, Jr. I have recently taken an interest in collecting items that pertain to Borden Milk (I guess it has something to do with my last name.). I have a small Borden creamer that has started me on this quest. I am already excited about the possibilities of uncovering Borden Milk "Treasure."

I have reviewed your list of Borden Milk bottles and would ask if you might bundle a collection of the different Borden bottles you have and offer them at a price that would be lower than their combined prices. Feel free to also include any other Borden items you might have.

One "combination" that I am interested in finding is one that would have the Metal carrying basket (like one that was carried by a Milkman) and each bottle compartment filled. For example, a Basket with four compartments (or slots) and four bottles - one bottle in each slot.

As I stated above, I am very "wet behind the ears" when it comes to bottle collecting, so any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Richard Borden rborden@us.ibm.com filled with a Borden bottle.

Ralph,

My family owned a dairy in Bishop, California from 1959-1973. My father "Ralph" bottled all of the milk during that time. I remember riding on "Divco" truck, standing behind the ice cream freezer and "holding on" when I was only 6 or 7. We had to go help on the milk routes at 5 or 6 in the morning. I'm looking for any collectibles from our dairy "Sierra Farms Dairy". We didn't save any. I have my parents and 4 siblings that would all love to have a bottle. Anyone have any? Contact me at gs1saito@psnw.com.

Hi there! My name is Kevin Robinson and I'm on the lookout for some old family treasures. My great grandfather started a dairy business in the early 1900's in Boston, Massachusetts. My dad, who now lives in the Philadelphia area, has lots of pictures of horse drawn dairy wagons, bottling plants and creamery's but unfortunately no artifacts. The name of the business was called A. J. Robinson & Son's located in Roslindale, Mass. They sold and distributed milk in the Boston and surrounding area up until the late 1960's. I believe they were bought out by Hood Milk Co. My relatives bought thier milk from a farming co-op in Starksboro, Vermont, pasturized it at a family owned creamery there, trucked the milk to Boston and bottled thier milk at a plant in Roslindale. They also made cheese and other dairy products. My great grandfather also built a one room school house in Starksboro, Vt., called the Robinson School, which is still in use today. Starksboro is a tiny village half way between Burlington and Rutland, near the town of Bristol. I used to visit there when i was a kid in the days when Vermont prided themselves on having more cows than people. Alas those days are long gone! I'm curious if you have ever come across milk bottle's or milk cans with the A. J. Robinson & son's label. If so I would sure like to here from you. Thanks for your time and have a good day!
